Industrial orchestration
What does an Industrial Orchestrator do?
The coordination layer that keeps a production objective, its dependencies, resources, machines and acceptance criteria in one working plan.
An Industrial Orchestrator manages the state of the whole production objective, not only the position or utilisation of individual machines.
From a goal to an ordered set of work
A request such as ‘prepare Foundation F01’ looks simple, but it contains many hidden questions. What is the current terrain? Which areas are accessible? What must be removed, delivered or inspected first? Which tolerances define completion?
The Orchestrator turns those questions into an explicit task structure. It keeps operations in order, connects them to resources and records which conditions must be satisfied before the next task can begin.

Why a fleet dashboard is not enough
A fleet system may show where machines are, whether they are online and how much they are being used. Those are useful inputs, but they do not explain whether the production objective is moving forward.
A machine can be busy while the site is waiting for the wrong material. Another can finish its command while the result is outside tolerance. Orchestration connects machine activity to the state of the actual job.
Replanning without losing human control
Physical sites change. A route may close, a machine may become unavailable or a scan may reveal a deviation. The system therefore needs to revise the plan while preserving the original objective and safety limits.
Critical changes should remain visible to the supervisor: what changed, why a new sequence is proposed and which decision is required. Autonomy is more useful when it makes the process clearer, not when it removes people from the information loop.

The first RESILEX scenario
The first Orchestrator scenario is intentionally narrow. It begins with a digital excavation task, checks the working area, prepares an operation for HEX and waits for measured evidence after execution.
The task is complete only when the resulting terrain can be compared with the target. This small loop is enough to test whether project data, machine control and verification can work as one system.
